Its main goals are to strengthen the social, economic and political role of Yemeni women, and raise general public awareness on gender and women issues. .

Women Against Violence [English] [Arabic]: WAV seeks to address the problem of domestic violence and the paucity of support services for abused Arab women in Israel. WAV established the first full-service Arabic crisis hotline in Israel (the second Arabic language hotline in the country!), and Israel’s first shelters and halfway houses for Arab women and girls. Though based in Nazareth, WAV works throughout Israel in all areas with high concentrations of Arab women.

Women and Palestinian Elections [Arabic]: A round table on “Women and the Palestinian Elections” held on August 6th, 2002 at PASSIA, the Palestinian Academic Society for the Study of International Affairs, Jerusalem.

Women and the Law - A Regional Dialogue [English]: In February 2004, nearly 100 women from 16 countries in the Middle East and North Africa attended a three-day workshop on Women and the Law in Amman, Jordan.

Women's Court: the Permanent Arab Court To Resist Violence Against Women [English]: The Women's Court is a symbolic popular court that aims at fighting all forms of violence practiced against women in Arab societies. The Court was established by a group of Arab NGOs. The main purpose of the Court is to put an end to the violence against women through a number of means including the introduction of the necessary changes on the existing laws and creating new laws to provide full protection for women victims of violence.
