Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) - United Kingdom

The objective of this field visit to the United Kingdom falls within the general objective of dissemination of knowledge. It intends to expose participating Arab public prosecutors to the expertise, best practices and modern techniques in case management and investigative tools of modern crimes adopted by the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) in the United Kingdom; as well as endorsing the creation of an international network of different stakeholders involved in issues of state and citizen security.
Ten Arab public prosecutors (2 from each pilot country) were selected by the Public Prosecution Offices in their respective countries, in coordination with the Project Management Team, to participate in this event. These participants are:
1. Lebanon
   - Jean Fahd - Public Prosecutor at the Military Tribunal
   - Nadim Abdel Malak - First Investigative Judge, South Lebanon
2. Egypt
   - Yasser Mohamed Taha Refaie - Chief Prosecutor
   - Ahmed Mohamed El-Taher Abdou Mourad - Associate Public Prosecutor
3. Yemen
   - Ishaac Mohammad Hassan Salah - Head of Financial Appeal Prosecution, El-Hadida
   - Ali Mohammed Hussein Al-Lawdhaeai - Head of Appeal Prosecution, Al-Bayda'
4. Morocco
   - Rachid Sadouk - Deputy Public Prosecutor, Court of Appeal
   - Mohamed Benalilou - Director, Directorate of Penal Affairs and Amnesty
5. Jordan
   - Musa Ahmed Ibraheem Megdadi - Public Prosecutor at Irbid First Instance Court
   - Afif Mohammad Amin Al-Khawaldeh - Public Prosecutor at Amman First Instance Court

The objective of this visit is to allow the participants to benefit from the technological developments and the Belgium expertise, mainly in relation to case management procedures as well as the methods adopted in the investigation and prosecution of money laundering crimes. This visit rests on the following pillars:
1- The role and functions of the public prosecutors and the methods used in case management
2- The practical perspective of the methodology and techniques of investigating and prosecuting cyber crimes and money laundering cases.
3- Prisons and the related role of public prosecutors
Four Lebanese public prosecutors were selected by the Public Prosecution Office in Lebanon, in coordination with the Project Management Team, to participate in this event. These participants are:
   - Roukoz Rizk -Public Prosecutor at the Fiscal Public Prosecution, Cassation Court
   - Jean Fahed - Public Prosecutor at the Military Court
   - Dani Chrabieh - Public Prosecutor at the Court of Appeal, Mount Lebanon
   - Joseph Sfeir - Public Prosecutor at the Court of Appeal, Beirut
